I have the best job in the world. I get to fish and Get Outdoors every day!

My fascination with the outdoors started when I moved to Canada as a young boy, and got to spend all of my free time on Lake Scugog near Port Perry with my family. Thanks to those early outdoors experiences I learned the value of conserving our natural resources.

Today, unfortunately, youth are missing out on a world of excitement and adventure because they are plugged into modern conveniences and digital entertainment. Quite frankly, this fast paced modern world is leaving a generation of youth disconnected from nature.

As a lifetime member of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, I'm proud to support my Federation's Get Outdoors youth conservation program. O.F.A.H. Get Outdoors is helping bring youth outdoors clubs to schools and communities around the province, and is quickly becoming the household name associated with youth conservation in Ontario.

It doesn't take much to get involved and the rewards are endless! As a Get Outdoors club mentor you can share your passion for the outdoors, and teach youth about conservation, leadership and a wide variety of outdoors pursuits. As a Get Outdoors youth member, the experience of a lifetime is about to begin.
